LifeCare EMS, the 911 ambulance transport provider for six counties in central Mississippi, will now be known as PatientCare EMS.The ambulance service’s new name better reflects the excellent patient care provided by the company in Leake, Winston, Newton, Scott, Noxubee and Kemper counties.
Ambulances have been wrapped with the PatientCare EMS logo and the company has updated its social media accounts. Employees will soon be wearing redesigned uniforms with PatientCare EMS branding.
“Residents will see a new logo and a fresh look on our ambulances, but they’ll see the same highly skilled paramedics and EMTs who have always responded to their emergencies,” said Jerry Johnston, chief operating officer of PatientCare EMS. “We take pride in our service and will continue to provide that service at a high level.”
The change in name brings the organization in line with other markets operated by PatientCare Logistics Solutions, a leading provider of ground-based 911 emergency ambulance and other critical healthcare logistics services. PatientCare Logistics Solutions acquired LifeCare EMS in September 2018 and has invested in new technology and training to support the system there.
Since September, 2018 PatientCare EMS has upgraded the equipment onboard its ambulances, added an electronic patient care reporting system while installing a state-of-the-art computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system in its communications center. This state-of-the-art system includes computer terminals in the ambulances that provide real-time call data as well as satellite-driven mapping. The upgraded technology helps PatientCare EMS’ dispatch center and emergency response teams provide the highest level of patient care while communicating necessary, life-saving information in real time. The new tools provide better tracking and reporting, making it easier to measure the organization’s performance for the communities it serves.
These investments underscore PatientCare’s commitment to providing the highest level of care to patients and to continuously improving service in the communities it serves.
