Since its founding in San Antonio in 2011, Superior Mobile Health (SMH) has grown from a single ambulance into one of South Central Texas’s most trusted mobile healthcare organizations. That growth has been built on a commitment to clinical excellence, dependable service, strong community partnerships, and a culture that puts people first.
Superior Mobile Health provides emergency and non-emergency medical transportation for patients with a broad range of clinical needs, including Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, Critical Care Transport, and specialized pediatric and neonatal care. Our teams also provide EMS standby coverage for healthcare facilities, public events, community gatherings, and other settings where immediate medical support is essential.
More than 300 professionals make up the SMH team, including paramedics, EMTs, communications specialists, paratransit professionals, fleet personnel, and operational support staff. Together, they complete more than ~100,000 patient transports each year while serving as a trusted extension of hospitals, health systems, municipalities, skilled nursing facilities, and other healthcare partners across the region.
